Ohio State Visit

2027 offensive lineman Carter Jones (Poquoson High School, VA) recently made the trip to Columbus, and the Buckeyes left a major impression.

“They are a school that is very high up on my list,” Jones said. “I got to talk with head coach Ryan Day and he really likes me and was excited to continue building a relationship with me!”

That personal connection with Ohio State’s head coach has put the Buckeyes firmly in the mix as Jones’ recruitment continues to heat up.

Upcoming Visits

The fall schedule is a busy one for Jones, who is making sure he sees several of the nation’s top programs firsthand.

“I am also visiting Tennessee, Florida, Texas, Virginia Tech, and Penn State” he said.

Junior Season Progress

On the field, Jones and the Poquoson Islanders are off to a hot start.

“We are 4-0 right now!” Jones shared, highlighting the strong momentum heading into the rest of the season.

Guidance from 5 Star Football Recruiting

Jones also credits Coach Isaac and 5 Star Football Recruiting for helping elevate his profile nationally.

“Coach Isaac has helped me a ton with gathering offers and securing NIL deals,” he said. “I came to Coach Isaac with 4 offers and now have 31 and am in the ESPN 300!”

With elite programs showing strong interest and his name rising up national rankings, Carter Jones is quickly establishing himself as one of the premier offensive linemen in the Class of 2027.
