Rising Bullitt East defensive lineman Baron Hardesty is steadily climbing the recruiting ranks — and people are taking notice. Most recently, Hardesty earned a 3-star rating from 247Sports, a milestone the 2026 prospect views as both a reward for his hard work and motivation to keep pushing.
“Seeing that kind of recognition on a major platform was exciting,” Hardesty said. “I look forward to increasing my stock even more over the summer pre-season and senior year.”
That mindset is part of what separates Hardesty from the pack. Standing out among hundreds of linemen, Hardesty was named the top performer at the Lindenwood University Mega Camp, where talent from across the region came to compete. His performance there added more buzz to what has already been a strong offseason.
Hardesty’s recruitment continues to gain momentum, with a busy spring filled with campus visits and in-school visits from college coaches.
“It's been a busy off-season communicating with coaches from all over,” he said. “Including Indiana University, Central Michigan, University of Louisville, SEMO, Ball State, Indiana State, Yale and Fordham — to name a few.”
He’s been able to evaluate programs up close, taking several visits since January to get a better feel for where he might fit next at the college level. “I have been blessed to be able to do that,” he added.
After wrapping up spring football, Hardesty has shifted his full attention to refining his body and skill set ahead of his final high school campaign.
“I’ve hit the weight room hard since the season ended,” he said. “Now that spring ball is over, my focus will shift to getting in the best ‘football shape’ I can be in before the season. Speed and agility conditioning using plyometrics and other methods are helping me get ready for camp season and my senior year.”
Hardesty credits 5 Star FB Recruiting and Coach Isaac Hadac for playing a major role in his development and recruitment journey.
“Coach Isaac has been a great mentor along the way,” he said. “He’s taught me different methods to reach college coaches, helps with social media exposure, gives me workout tips, and helps me communicate with programs.”
With his senior season on the horizon and more exposure on the recruiting trail, Baron Hardesty is a name college programs are circling. Backed by a strong work ethic, a growing resume, and a hunger to improve, the Bullitt East standout looks poised to turn heads even more in the coming months.
